Les Éclats du Chocolat Awards 2026:
honoring taste, ethics, and creative excellence in fine chocolate
Following a highly acclaimed inaugural edition in 2025, the Les Éclats du Chocolat Awards will shine a spotlight on the creations of 2026 exhibitors that best embody flavor, ethics, and uniqueness in the world of fine chocolate.
Organized in partnership with Galeries Lafayette Le Gourmet, the competition is exclusively open to exhibitors of the Salon du Chocolat. It will award four major distinctions, selected by a jury of experts committed to celebrating taste, quality, and ethical practices.
Six awards will be presented during this year's event:
- Best Bean-to-Bar Chocolate Bar: recognizes full mastery of the chocolate-making process — from cacao bean to finished bar — showcasing quality, precision, and craftsmanship.
- Innovation Award: celebrates a bold, original or unexpected creation, whether in the form of chocolate bars or filled confections, pushing the boundaries of flavor and design.
- Jury's Favorite: a special distinction awarded based on emotional impact, whether visual or gustatory — a true coup de cœur.
- Ethics & Sustainability: award Honors a brand or product with a responsible approach — be it social, environmental, or through transparent sourcing and traceability of ingredients.
- Gourmet Chocolate Bar Award: Whether with inclusions or filled, this award recognizes subtle combinations or unexpected textures that achieve the perfect balance
- Rising Star Award: Recognizes a young chocolate brand
The distinguished jury, composed of experts and leaders in the cocoa, chocolate, and pastry industry who are committed to product excellence, will be announced very soon.

The winners will benefit from dedicated promotion and a special retail feature by Galeries Lafayette Le Gourmet in spring 2027. Each laureate will have the chance to showcase up to three products in-store at Le Gourmet, offering unmatched visibility for chocolatiers shaping the future of premium, ethical chocolate.
